| Why is light always associated with Good, and darkness with Evil? |

2. I think that people are afraid of the unknown, and darkness is associated with that. Light has always been what you can see, so it's good. I think it's all how you truly experience light or darkness at certain times. When you are sad light uplifts your spirits, but it can also be blinding.
Darkness is very still and calm, it's only in are minds that there might lurk evil,scary, and bad things, but it's not true. People sleep better when it's dark because it's relaxing.

6. Darkness speaks to our fears - those things which blind us to truth. Evil is the absence of truth. With light - which illuminates and allows us to be enlightened - the truth is plainly visable and accessable. Truth is - by it's nature - good.

7. It's simple...Look-when we were children,which of these things we were afraid of? Dark. It looked scary. Evil is scary scary too. It match together and that's it!

8. Light has always been associated with knowledge as in en'light'enment and darkness with ignorance, and that is why we associate good with light and knowledge, evil with darkness and ignorance. Very interesting, however, that it was from the tree of knowledge that man first offended G-d.

10. Surrender is signified by a white flag - (light colour) - doctors and nurses wear white - the mind has been geared to accept that - wars and poverty have a lot of darkness - which leads to unhappiness and sadness - so the mind thinks it is the evil which is doing it.
